INCREASING OF METAL RECOVERY IN LEACHING PROCESS OF SPENT CATALYST AT LOW TEMPERATURE: THE ADDITION OF HYDROGEN PEROXIDE AND SODIUM CHLORIDE

One of the factors that affect leaching process a mineral source is characteristics raw materials. Not all phases can be leached directly and completely. Thus, some minerals require special treatment so take place optimally. This study will focus on studying effect additive compounds addition, i.e. hydrogen peroxide sodium chloride, in spent catalyst using sulfuric acid solution. The was carried out at concentration 1 M solution for 240 minutes room temperature. varied 0–9%v/v, while chloride 0–0.8 mol/L. experimental results showed two were able to increase nickel recovery significantly. highest 95.08% achieved when used 9%v/v. 3.5 times higher than without addition peroxide. Meanwhile, 0.8 mol/L provide 50.38% or an 1.9 compared chloride.
